IHL Fall 24 Information

Season set to begin early November. We finally have enough to draft and the draft will take oplace the weekend of October 25-27.

The IHL is our Premier League and is a competitive 18+ league designed for players with higher level playing backgrounds.  The top players in this league played at the AAA, Junior A or Collegiate level.  The average players in this league played travel club hockey growing up.  There is not a guarantee that you will be drafted in this league. If, through the evaluation process, our GM's feel that you would not be a fit in the IHL level you will be given the option to play in the FHL instead at the earliest possible opening or you will be issued a full refund.  The FHL is designed for older players, recreational players and those newer to the game.   Registration Now open click here.

Age

You must be 18 years of age by the start of the Fall 2024 season.   

Season Length

This will be a 12 game plus playoff schedule.  Draft will be Sunday September 29th and games will begin Sunday September 6th. 

Format

Depending on enrollment, this will likely be a 4x4 format.  If we have enough players we will run a 5x5 format but with 10 or 11 man rosters we will revert to 4x4. 

Cost

The league fee is $295.00 plus proof of 2024-25 USA Hockey Insurance.  You must register online below and be paid in full to be put on the draft board.

Evaluations

Evaluation skates have yet to be scheduled.


Your past playing resume will also be considered during the drafting process. If you are not selected to an IHL franchise, you will automatically be given the option to sign for the FHL draft where you will be given a roster spot as soon as one becomes available or you can request a full refund.  

Game Days

For the Fall 2024 season games will be each Sunday. Weeknights are possible on an as needed basis.

Primary Game Slots
Sundays 8:15pm, 9:45pm

Weekday games will be 9:15pm or 10:15pm but will be extremely rare. (mostly only used for make up games)

Playoffs

All teams make a single elimination playoff.  The league's Heineken Cup Finals are a best of 3 series. 

There are no regular season games played minimum requirements to be eligible for the playoffs.

Seasons

The IHL typically runs two seasons per calendar year but can start at four different points depending on the rink schedule.

Summer season -  The Summer season typically starts evaluations in May and runs through late August. 

Fall Season - The Fall season typically starts evaluations in September and runs through December or January.

Winter Season - The Winter season typically starts in January and will run through April.

*Spring Season - The Spring season is typically a shortened 6 game season that runs From March through May.

4 Nations

The FHL Presents...

The 4 Nations Tournament Spring 2025

Teams are full and rosters are being finalized

Players from across the FHL will be placed on one of 4 nation based teams.

1. Team Northern Europe, Ireland, England, Scotland, Netherlands, Scandanavia

2. Team Southern Europe, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, France, Austria, Africa

3. Team Eastern Europe, German, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Asia

4. Team America, Canado, Mexica, Native America, Central/South America, Alaska

When players register they will be asked for their nationalities. We will attempt to balance the teams with the GM's.

Seven game Gaurantee. 6 game round robin. Top 2 teams will play for Gold. Bottom 2 will play for Bronze.

Games will be held Monday through Thursday 9:15pm or 10:15pm. FF schedules will be the only schedules worked around.

Price $195 per player and will include a Nations Cup jersey.

*Our regular Summer league will resume at the conclusion of this tournament in May and run through early September.

Olympic Spring Classic 2026

What: Draft style tournament built around the 1980 Winter Olympic hockey tournament held at Lake Placid. The tournament (based on participation) will feature the top 6 finishers in the 1980 tournament. All teams are guaranteed at least 7 games.

How: This will be a select team tournament. Our player committee will divide teams evenly across the six national teams in the tournament. Due to this, we cannot accept team requests.

When: March 30th through May 17th. 5 Round Robin games Monday March 30th through April 27th. The Medal Round begins Monday May 4th and ends Thursday May 14th. The tournment will close with the commencement of Super Saturday, May 16th. The Tin medal game (5th Place) will kick things off at 4pm followed by the Bronze medal game at 5:30pm and finishing with the main event, The Gold medal game at 7:00pm.

Game Times: Mon 10:15pm Tuesday 10:15pm Wednesday 9:15pm Thursday 10:15pm.  Each team will play once a week and could play on any of these nights. 

The Medal Games will be on Saturday May 16th.

4:00pm - Tin Medal game (5th place), 5:30pm - Bronze Medal game, 7:00pm - Gold Medal game 

Who: This tournament is designed for FHL level players, 40 years of age or older. Under age exceptions will be made on a case by case basis. Women players are absolutely welcome.

Cost: Cost for the tournament experience is $230.00. That includes Jersey and socks.

Pre-Olympic Tournament Ice Time: There will be pre draft skates on Wednesdays leading up to the event. Goalies contact Jerry Fronek to hold a net for these.

Wednesdays March 4th, 11th and 18th at 9:15pm. $15 at the door, Proof of current USA hockey insurance is required
