Elite Kings Destroy Red Fox In Season Opener For Both Teams

Industry Tap County AP- The Elite Rehab Kings delivered a dominant performance at the season opener for both teams, securing a decisive 13-4 victory over the defending champion Industry Tap Red Fox. Shortly after the banner rasing ceremony for the hometown defending FHL champion Industry Tap Red Fox was over the Kings demonstrated their offensive prowess, erupting for six goals in the first period. Brian Snikeris opened the scoring at 10:52, followed by Mike Campobasso just over a minute later. Snikeris then added his second of the frame at 6:55, before Ryan Helis extended the lead at 5:16 with a helper from Campobasso. Martin Boban and Campobasso rounded out the first-period onslaught, leaving the Red Fox trailing 6-0. 

The second period saw a continuation of the Kings' domination. Snikeris netted his third goal at 7:48, followed by two more from Helis at 5:49 and 4:20, both assisted by Snikeris. Snikeris continued his scoring spree with his fourth of the game at 1:26, and Ryan Johnson capped off the period with a goal at 0:29, bringing the Kings' total to 11. The Industry Tap Red Fox managed to break through on the scoreboard twice in the second period, with Rich Salvatore scoring both goals at 12:45 and 10:59, assisted by Mike Kerr on both occasions. 

In the third period, the Kings added two more goals to their tally, while the Red Fox managed to put two more pucks in the net. Salvatore finished his hat-trick goal at 10:32, followed by Ken Onyszko at 5:00. Campobasso extended the Kings' lead at 9:34 with an assist from Helis, and Boban closed out the scoring for the Kings at 0:04, with assists from Brian Donchez and Ryan Johnson, for the final 13-4 score. 

Individually, Brian Snikeris led the charge for the Elite Rehab Kings, registering an impressive 6 points with 4 goals and 2 assists, earning him the first star of the game. Mike Campobasso was instrumental in the Kings' offense, contributing 5 points with 3 goals and 2 assists, securing the second star. Ryan Helis also had a strong showing, tallying 4 points with 3 goals and 1 assist, good for the third star. For the Industry Tap Red Fox, Rich Salvatore was the offensive bright spot, contributing on 4 of their goals. Surprisingly the Red Fox outshot the Kings 44-37. The Kings also committed two minor penalties: Tim Pitcairn for hooking at 1:09 in the first period and Martin Boban for tripping at 3:20 in the second period.
