The M&I Steel Maulers swept through the playoffs in route to a 7-2 overall record and another IHL Heineken Cup Championship.  The Maulers easily handled the severely undermanned Insomniak Motorworks in the series finale 12-2 after opening the series with a tight 6-5 win in game one when the Motorworkz had a full roster at their disposal.

In the FHL, the Insomniak Vigilantes battled their way to their second undefeated season in club history, culminating with a 2 game FHL Legend Cup sweep over the Michael Sterr Foundation Shamrocks.  The Vigilantes won 4 of their 9 games in OT this season, including the Championship clincher.
